Come Have Fun Dancing Salsa
Salsa is one of the most common rhythms when you start taking dance classes. It’s a Caribbean rhythm known worldwide due to its captivating cheerful music and amusing dance.
Specifically, in Latin Dance New Zealand, we teach Los Angeles-style Salsa, this being one of the most common at all parties.
Do not hesitate, dancing is one of the best ways to have fun and be social. You meet people, make new friends, get distracted, and have a lot of fun. It is one of the healthiest ways to have fun. You can come alone or with a partner. During the class, we are constantly changing partners so that everyone dances with everyone.
What are the requirements to start taking lessons?
You just have to attend scheduled classes throughout the week. You’ll need to wear any comfortable footwear (avoid flip flops or of the sort).

Our Salsa Courses
LEVEL 1
Our dance academy will introduce you to the basics and then teach you a turn pattern to try out on the dance floor with a partner.
LEVEL 2
Spice up your moves on the dance floor every Wednesday with our back-to-back 8-week course throughout the year.
CASUAL CLASS
If you are curious and want to try out Salsa lessons, come and try a casual single pass to Salsa Level 1 or Level 2.

Useful Information
Dance lessons can be in groups or private. Group classes have limited capacity and have one or two teachers leading the class. On the other hand, private classes are between you and the teacher.
You can attend alone or accompanied by a friend, sibling, or partner. It doesn’t matter who you come with, or if you come alone. The important thing is that you dare to start! Our lessons are going to make you feel great.
We work on a rotation system which means that everyone has an opportunity to dance and learn together, or you could also skip rotation and dance with your chosen partner throughout the class.
I never danced and I have two left feet. Will I be able to keep up with the class?
It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to dance at all, because you came here to learn. We provide a safe and judgment-free environment. After all, we were all at that same start once! So don’t hesitate any longer, our teachers are super patient and you’ll also find people who are just starting!
