What is Stretching?

Flexibility is the base for everything, all of your workouts. When you are stretching, you are not only working on your muscles, but you are calming your mind, and you get a release of endorphins which makes you feel better when you leave class.

Other benefits include:

– Improve your performance in physical activities.

– Decrease your risk of injuries.

– Help your joints move through their full range of motion.

– Increase muscle blood flow.

– Enable your muscles to work most effectively.

What are the Stretching Classes like?

Both static and dynamic stretch will be covered in our class. This deep stretch class incorporates standing and seated positions to open and lengthen the muscles from all angles. It’s also designed to strengthen and tighten our core muscles within the chest, abs, back and legs.

It is highly recommended to join our Zumba class right before this class so your muscles are nice and warm! Otherwise, come 20 mins earlier, start to warm up your body. So we can get straight in when the stretch class starts!

What are the requirements to start taking lessons?

All levels are welcome! Remember to bring your own yoga mat (essential) for hygienic purpose. Please also bring 2 yoga blocks and a stretchy band if you have them, it’s optional.

Useful Information

Dance lessons can be in groups or private. Group classes have limited capacity and have one or two teachers leading the class. On the other hand, private classes are between you and the teacher.

You can attend alone or accompanied by a friend, sibling, or partner. It doesn’t matter who you come with, or if you come alone. The important thing is that you dare to start! Our lessons are going to make you feel great.

We work on a rotation system which means that everyone has an opportunity to dance and learn together, or you could also skip rotation and dance with your chosen partner throughout the class.

I never danced and I have two left feet. Will I be able to keep up with the class?

It doesn’t matter if you don’t know how to dance at all, because you came here to learn. We provide a safe and judgment-free environment. After all, we were all at that same start once! So don’t hesitate any longer, our teachers are super patient and you’ll also find people who are just starting!
